Our Christmas Vacation!

Party and Concert

Last night we had 2 important events to go to, so we divided up. Andrew went with Jessica, Parker and Zachary and they went to our ward's Christmas Party. The ward provided a nice meal, a program of the Nativity and Santa.

I went to Samantha's orchestra concert. She did a wonderful job. Jessica had our camera so I used my phone for this pic.

Snow is back!

The snow came back yesterday. I took a picture of it because it looked so pretty. But,




It is coming down good!

Because of the snow, school is delayed for two-hours! The kids are so happy!

Footings

Here is another update of our house-

I have been worried about the tempature lately that it has been too cold. In these past few days it has been warm. So they have poured the footings. Here is what the footings are-


A footing is typically concrete and typically reinforced with steel. The footing is the bottom part of the foundation . It's the base -- sometimes called a "spread footing" because it's spread wide and it spreads the vertical loads that are coming down in the building.


I am learning new things about building a home.

Colder and Snow!

It has been getting colder here. On Monday we had our first snow of the season. The next day all of that snow melted. Today it started to snow again. The kids are so excited!

Dirt is being moved on the lot. We were so excited we had to take a picture of it!

Thanksgiving Day feast!

We had a nice Thanksgiving. I think the kids actually took longer to eat than in Thanksgivings past. Usually we would just sit down to eat and some of the kids would be done. Good eating kids!
