Trip to Canada!

Our family went to Victoria, British Columbia this past weekend. First we took the Victoria Clipper over to the island. Zachary and Samantha both got sick along the way, nothing new for Samantha. We were happy to have Grandma and Grandpa with us on this trip.

The illness in children form.

Goofy Parker and Jessica had a great time though.

A little light reading on the way over.

Zachary having fun with Grandpa Davis.

Samantha and Grandma Davis enjoying the trip.

Here we are next to our hotel, The Empress.

A nice view of the bay, next to the hotel.

The Empress is a beautiful hotel that opened in 1908.

The parliament building.

We went to the Undersea Gardens, in the harbor in Victoria.

Zachary liked the octopus.

The highlight of the trip was going to Butchart Gardens

Andrew and I by the Ross fountain.

I loved all the flowers so I took many pictures.

Samantha is as beautiful as these flowers!

These flowers are called Scotsmans purse. A very unique flower I thought.

Looks like we are all having a great time!

Zachary like the star fountain that has frogs.

Enjoying some sorbet and gelato at the gardens.

I want these Marigolds in my garden!

I loved this color combination!

Here they are posing in the lobby of the Empress hotel.

Samantha loved the pool.

We had a great trip. We also encountered Darth Vader playing the violin on the street, winter olympic wear for the 2010 games in Vancouver and miniature world!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Davis for joining us and enduring the long walks.

Rafting trip

We went white water rafting this week. We first drove to Ensign ranch and we camped overnight. I never do well the first night camping but the rest of the family slept well.
The kids had fun hanging out with members of the ward; they went on the rope swing in the lake, hiked around the campsite and played card games.

I liked this creepy lane. I have seen this in several movies.

Parker tried the rope swing several times.

The girls enjoyed themselves. This was a very familiar place to them. They were here just a few weeks ago, at girl's camp.

Before we went river rafting, stopped in Leavenworth. Samantha needed another deck of Killer Bunnies. The kids enjoy this card game. I could not tell you exactly how to play the game, Samantha learned how to play from her friend Alisa.

I am hoping to get a picture of us white water rafting from the company that took us.

Parker's 11th

We celebrated Parker's 11th B-day today,
his birthday is tomorrow.
We started off with a water fight; water guns and water grenades.

The boys also played soccer,on a blowup soccer field and ladder ball. I also got some bubble solution and they had fun making huge bubbles.

We had a mint oreo blizzard cake! Very tasty! Be careful of the blue icing!

Jessica even had fun!

I had fun decorating!

Parker wanted to light is cake! We enjoyed pizza and treats!

The 4th!

Too many fireworks, what do you think?

Here is Zachary posing for me.

You never get sick of sparklers

Parker is still amazed!

Joe and Parker sharing the love of sparklers!

Eli is sad that this one is done.

Andrew loves the 4th of July!

Dewi is getting everyone ready for the start of the show!

Here is what was left when we were done. It took us 1 hour to get through all of the fireworks!
We melted the asphalt in our cul-de-sac. Until next year, sparklers and piccolo petes, yeah!
